How does carrot oil benefit the hair?

I have found this product in an Afro-Carribean store and thought about using it for my black wavy hair as a Lebanese friend of mine uses it for hers and swears by it.


I'm not African-American but was wondering if it is suitable for my hair and if anyone out there uses it and what benefit it has?How does carrot oil benefit the hair?
