Is there any benefit to putting conditioner on dry hair and leaving it in for a few minutes before a shower?

I heard this somewhere and since I have relatively dry hair I'm wondering if this would help at all?

i would suggest trying a deep conditioning treatment (you can get one anywhere) or a leave in conditioner.
